Bathrooms over the years have become far more complex, because peoples expectations have risen considerably - and rightly so.  CLOAKROOMS, SHOWERS & WET-ROOMS

A particular area of our expertise is the installation of walk-in shower rooms, more commonly known as wet-rooms.  There are various techniques and methods available for providing a water tight showering environment, and we will advise you on what particular system is appropriate to your circumstances.  

In some situations, where space and headroom are limited, for example in a loft conversion,   we have installed bespoke shower trays and screens to maximise the potential of the given space. We also offer a home measuring service for custom made shower screens.

• Attend your property and after laying new hard board on the areas that we are likely to walk through remove your existing suite and any wall and floor tiles
• Agree positions of the new sanitary ware and install the relevant pipework - neat and concealed. Install any cables to feed lights / shaver points / underfloor heating etc. 
• Leak test all pipework!
• Carry out any necessary plastering works ready for any tiling or decorating
• Lay the wall and floor tiles that normally the client supplies to us - however we can supply if required. We always consult the client and agree the positions of cut tiles etc.
• Grout and polish the tiles and then "second fix" - i.e. install the sanitary ware / hang towel warmers and dress the shower mixers / install shower screens
• Seal all sanitaryware with anti-germ and anti-mould silicone sealant.
• Leak test all sanitaryware.
• LEAVE THE AREA CLEAN AND TIDY !!!

Not all bathrooms follow this sequence, due to variations in design but this is a general guide. If at any point we have to drain down the central heating system, say to install a towel warmer, we as a matter of course and good practice install suitable inhibitors into the system when refilled.
